Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand will implement new entry measures requiring all foreign travelers to apply for the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the country. This initiative aims to streamline the entry process and expedite customs procedures. Below are the detailed insights regarding this new measure:

Key Details

  1. Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC):

    • All non-Thai travelers must complete the entry information online within 72 hours (3 days) before arrival in Thailand and submit the application.

    • During the application process, travelers will need to provide personal information, passport number, flight details, and accommodation address.

    • After completing the application, travelers will receive a confirmation email containing a QR code, which must be presented to customs officials upon entry.

  2. Application Process:

    • Visit the official website of the Thai Immigration Bureau and select the "Arrival Card" option to initiate the application: Thailand Digital Arrival Card.

    • Fill in passport information, personal details, travel information, and accommodation details.

    • Review the information for accuracy and submit the application to receive the confirmation email.

  3. Cost:

    • Currently, applying for the TDAC is free of charge. This applies to travelers entering Thailand by air, land, or sea.

  4. Applicable Audience:

    • All non-Thai foreign travelers, including those eligible for visa-exempt entry (such as travelers from Hong Kong), must apply for the TDAC.

    • Transit travelers and those passing through do not need to apply.

  5. Required Documents Upon Entry:

    • Valid passport.

    • TDAC confirmation QR code (either digital or printed).

    • Relevant documents for visas or visa exemption.

The implementation of this new measure aims to enhance entry efficiency and ensure the safety and convenience of travelers. We encourage all travelers planning to visit Thailand to familiarize themselves with the requirements and prepare the necessary documents to avoid any disruption to their travel plans.
